Integrations on Kwikcart-Partial Payments

When running an eCommerce store, the payment options you provide matter a lot to the customers. The customers want as many payment options as possible. Among other options, one great option that you can add to offer better experiences as regards payments to your audiences is a Partial Payment option.

What are Partial Payments?

Partial Payments, as its name suggests, is allowing the customers to make payments in installments. This is not like purchasing a product on EMI. Instead, it’s a facility where you divide the payments into two sections -

  1. Some amount to be paid when placing the order.

  2. The remaining amount is to be paid upon delivery.

For instance, if someone places a COD order, you can take the shipping fee upfront and the customer can pay the rest of the order value upon the delivery of the product.

This puts both you and your customers in a good position. Now, the question is how can you add such an option to your eCommerce store? Well, let’s understand the same.

Steps to Add Partial Payment Option on Kwikcart

There are just a few simple and quick steps to add a partial payment option on Kwikcart. Have a read further to understand the steps-

1. Click on the “Integrations” option on the Dashboard.

2. You’ll be directed to a page where you can see several options. Go to the “Partial Payments” option and click on the “Configure” button.


3. A screen will appear, wherein, do the following things-

Enable “Partial Payments”.Once you enable Partial Payments cash on delivery payment option shall be automatically disabled.

  1. Select the domain for which you want to enable partial payments.

  2. Select the Payment Gateway.

  3. Enter the desired number in the “Advance” column.

  4. Select whether the advance will be charged as a percentage or amount.

  5. Select whether you want to charge the advance as an additional fee or otherwise.

4. Thereafter for the “Advanced Settings” you can do the following things-

  1. Enter a title for the partial payment.

  2. Enter a description to be displayed at checkout.

  3. Customize the text for the total amount.

  4. Customize the text for the order amount.

  5. Once done Click on the “Save Changes” option.

That’s all! You’re done. On the final checkout page, the option for Partial payment shall appear as shown below. The payment gateway that you have selected shall be used for the collection of advance fees.
